After more than nine years of nomadic life, we decided it was time for a new adventure. So in March 2026, we sold our New Horizons Majestic fifth-wheel RV along with most of our stuff, and moved to Lecco, a small city on the southeast end of Lake Como in northern Lombardia, Italy, not far from the Swiss border. We are exploring Europe from our new home base.
Our upcoming destinations
- September 1-5, 2026: The Netherlands – flying from Milan to Amsterdam to help our youngest child move into an apartment in Rotterdam to attend university in The Hague
- October 20-21, 2026: Chur, Switzerland, then traveling through the Alps to Tirano, Italy on the Bernina Express before returning to Lecco
- October 25-November 5, 2026: Mainland Greece on Road Scholar’s tour, A Mythical Journey: Stories That Shaped Modern Greece
